Published May 31st, 2006 in everythingIt’s just 34 °C in Toronto but It feels like 40 °C because of the Humidex. Humidex or Heat Index(HI) is a term to show how hot the weather actually feels. When the humidity of the air is high, the evaporation rate of the water in body is low. It means that the heat stays in your body and feel hot.
There is a small pool in front of the Metro Hall in John St. This pool seems the only place around here for birds to cool themselves down.

Toronto is humid mostly because of the Ontario Lake and other lakes around GTA
